Indica was born as a consulting firm specializing in Quality Management and Creativity. It was founded by Angel Sánchez Huerta and Marily Apodaca Loyo to help business firms to implement methodologies for continuous quality improvement.
Dr. George Land, author of The Transformation Theory was contacted at the Annual Conference on Creative Problem Solving organized by the Creative Education Foundation in Buffalo, New York.
Indica successfully organized it’s first Executive Summit “Vision 89- Creating a Global Competitive Edge” in Mexico City with top level executives and public officers to share concepts and knowledge in the areas of Change, Creativity and Innovation.
Indica adopts the Transformation Theory as the scientific foundation of everything it does, as well as the methodologies for Creative Strategic Thinking and Leadership2000 Inc.´s computer technology, in order to renew itself and evolve from a consulting firm in Total Quality Management to one specialized in Innovation, whose present purpose is: “Move organizational leaders to create the business of the future”.
Indica was invited to participate in the annual conferences of the Creative Problem Solving Institute (CPSI) organized by the Creative Education Foundation (CEF) in Buffalo, New York.
During this period, Indica has helped over 100 important business firms and institutions in Mexico and Latin America such as: PEMEX, Grupo Presidente, Peñoles, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Aditivos Mexicanos, Coca-Cola Export, CFE-Peninsular Zone, Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Ingenieros Civiles Asociados (ICA), among others.
Mr. Othón Canales joined the firm as a new partner to contribute Indica's interventions and facilitation services with his knowledge and over 30 years of experience in the business world. Indica continues to grow focused on consulting in Strategic Thinking and Innovation.
